This is to help figure out the year/model for Yamaha's only.1980 - 1984 have a 9 digit serial number for the engine/frame. They will match, unless someone has changed the engine. VIN decoders will not work.1985 - 9 digit on engine, 15 digit on frame.
Kenny Roberts TT500 was monoshock and in VMX Magazine a couple of issues ago and so was XT550 for that matter. The curly issues will be the engine height under the monoshock as TT motor is much taller than YZ and even worse finding a place to fit carb and airbox. The Roberts TT500 has dodgy looking Unifilter dangling off the side and needs a Quickslobber carb. Something that can run up hill.As you can see the Husky is less problematic. If you use the Husky frame with the single tube backbone the YZ125C tank will drop on but you will have top shock mounts that look different to the HL.
